Product Description
Our Chikuwa Takebue from the Kibun brand is a traditional Japanese fish cake. It's shaped into a hollow tube and then lightly grilled to give it a slightly charred, fragrant exterior while the inside remains soft and firm. The name Takebue means "bamboo flute," which refers to its distinct shape. Made from high-quality surimi (fish paste), this product is a staple in many Japanese dishes.
Usage
Slice it into rounds and add it to oden soup or Japanese noodles.
Stir-fry it with vegetables, such as in a mixed vegetable stir-fry with soy sauce or teriyaki sauce.
It's also great for bento boxes, or you can slice it thinly and deep-fry it until crispy.
