Our Shima Hokke is a popular fish from Hokkaido, perfect for Japanese grilling. It's been prepared using the Hirakiboshi methodsplit open, lightly seasoned, and semi-dried to enhance its natural aroma. The M size is ideal for serving a whole fish as a main course or as part of a set meal or bento box. When grilled, the skin becomes crispy, while the meat remains juicy and tender with a perfectly balanced richness.
Usage
Thaw the fish by placing it in the refrigerator (0-5°C) for about 6 hours.
Grill it on a charcoal grill, electric grill, or in an oven without any additional seasoning.
Serve with a lemon wedge, grated daikon radish, or a small amount of soy sauce.
Storage
Store in a freezer at -18°C.
Once thawed, consume immediately within 24 hours.
Do not refreeze.
