Product Description
Our Tsubugai (whelk) is a Japanese sea snail known for its firm, plump, and naturally sweet meat. This product comes conveniently pre-sliced in a Size L, making it ready for immediate use in sashimi or as a sushi topping. It's a popular choice for omakase menus, offering a premium texture as part of a kai mono (seafood) platter. You can also use it for Tsubugai Sushi, a mixed shellfish sashimi plate, or grilled with a soy sauce glaze.
Usage
Thaw slowly in the refrigerator (0-5°C) for about 4-6 hours.
It can be served raw as sashimi, placed on top of sushi rice, or lightly grilled with butter and soy sauce.
We recommend serving it with wasabi and soy sauce, or a drizzle of yuzu ponzu.
Storage
Store in a freezer at -18°C.
Once thawed, use within 24 hours.
Do not refreeze to maintain its texture.
