Our frozen scallops are a premium, sashimi-grade product. They're frozen to preserve their beautiful shape and freshness, making them easy to use. The Size L is perfect for a full-sized sashimi portion, Hotate Sushi, or Hotate Yaki (grilled with butter and soy sauce). With a firm, soft texture and a natural sweetness, these scallops are a popular choice in mid-range to premium Japanese restaurants. Their beautiful cream color makes for an elegant presentation and enhances any omakase menu.
Usage
Thaw the scallops by placing them in the refrigerator (0-5°C) for about 6 hours.
They can be used for both raw and cooked dishes, such as sashimi, grilling, stir-frying, or in soups.
We recommend serving them with a lemon wedge, soy sauce, wasabi, or yuzu ponzu.
Storage
Store in a freezer at -18°C.
Once thawed, use within 24 hours.
