Product Description
Ayu (Sweetfish) is a traditional Japanese freshwater fish famous for its unique melon-like aroma. The meat is tender with a subtle, natural sweetness, making it a popular choice for shioyaki (salt-grilled) dishes or grilled over charcoal in an omakase setting. The fish are the perfect size for serving whole, and they can be used as an elegant garnish for sashimi or premium grilled platters. Our high-quality frozen packs preserve the shape, clear eyes, and fresh flavor of the whole fish. Each pack is specially selected to contain 15 pieces per kilogram.

Usage
Slowly thaw the fish in the refrigerator (0-5°C) for about 6-8 hours.
Gently rinse the fish with cold water and pat dry before grilling.
It is best prepared by lightly salting and then grilling on a charcoal grill, in an oven, or on a grill pan.
Serve with a slice of lemon, decorative leaves, or edible flowers.
 
Storage
Store in a freezer at -18°C.
Once thawed, use immediately within 24 hours.
Do not refreeze after thawing to maintain the quality of the fish.
